History of Basketball

1.          James Naismith invented basketball.

2.          Basketball was invented in a training school at Springfield, Massachusetts.

3.          In 1891

4.           It was invented with a peach basket and a soccer ball.

5.          James Naismith wanted to invent a game that was played indoors during the winter time.

6.           They didn’t have as many rules as now in days

7.          In the beginning of basketball they didn’t have basketball courts, so they used peach baskets. Every time they scored, they have to bring out the ladder to take out the ball.

8.          Back then they didn’t have slam dunks. They just had regular shots.

9.          Basketball now is more advanced then back in the 1890s, because now we use basketball courts with rims. In the 1890s they would use peach baskets.
